The recently launched roadmap of President Muhamandu Buhari campaign themed “Next Level” with the rider, ‘we are going higher’ has left most 
Nigerian perplexed. This development has come under very grave criticisms and cynicism, as the level could means that whatever is remaining of Nigeria are about to be completely wide out. By the way, what happened to the ‘CHANGE’ signature they asked? Again in some APC political banners, some of their aspirants, uses “progress” inscription.
In the statement signed by the Director General, Alliance for new Nigeria 2019, presidential campaign, Lanre Oyegbola the party said that the promises of going higher as promised by APC could connotatively means that the exchange rate would go higher or that the number of failed business and unemployment would increase. However how can Buhari government take us to the “next level” when it cannot come up with an original slogan and logo for its reelection campaign?
According to BCC on July 25 2017 “we cannot trust Buhari government this time; Nigeria has the largest number of children out of school in the world, over 8 million people lost their jobs between January 2016 and September 30th 2017, youth unemployment also tripled same as cost of living during Buhari presidency. The loss of jobs in Nigeria in recent years has made banner headlines not to mention over 23m unemployed Nigerians since Buhari came into board.
In the same vain, Nigerians never believed that they will buy fuel at 145 naira in their country but it has become reality in this same administration. Nigerian was virtually sleeping and waking up at the filling station. Everyone in the international committee has one enigma with Nigeria. The America business news outfit recently said that the country is experiencing a fall in its oil production capacity, political uncertainty and insurgency. “Nigeria is currently pumping about 1.8 million barrels of crude oil per day, making it OPEC’s 7th biggest producer alongside Angola, yet there is nothing to show for all these,” it added.
Nigeria is currently rated around the bottom of the chart in the world statistics of the countries with the highest number of hungry people and number one in Africa what a pity. According to the data from the National Bureau of statistics when Buhari ascended to presidency it was 13.7 percent by July 2017 it climbed to 33.1 percent. This is a serious issue. What is Buhari’s government going to do with Nigerians this time? This is one question that demand clarified answers. What “next level” are they taken us to, this time around? My own opinion is that Nigerians should shine their eyes well as they select their leaders this time around.
Be that as it may, president Buhari promises for this year election is jobs, infrastructure, business growth, entrepreneurship, development, human capital enhancement services, health care education and political inclusion. Now the question is how can Buhari do all this when the 3years and half he has ruled was hell for us? Are we going to listen or believed his promising? The doubt at this point about this “next level” is on the high side for all Nigerians excerpt those in the same band wagon with him.
