The President, Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, former Chairman of Manufacters Association of Nigeria, member “Visions 2010 and 2020 Committees and the Convener New Nigeria Group, will lead eminent Nigerians and Maritime Stakeholders in proferring solutions to the perennial Apapa traffic gridlock.
Ohuabunwa, a man of many quality attributes who has gallantly remained a pathfinder to successful useful solutions of national and international essence, the former Chairman of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, would be presenting the lead paper on “The Travails of Manufacturers through Apapa Port” at the Maritime Summit slated for April 14-15, 2021 at the Rockview Hotel, Apapa.
According to the Editor-in-Chief of the Powerful Pen Newspaper, Comrade Ray Ugochukwu, the Summit will attempt to find creative solutions to the hard biting and agonizing gridlock, with various degrees of unique and challenging problems from the experience and tested well-woven expertise of the speakers for better operational values of the Maritime Industry.
Ray Ugochukwu, who is also the President of Maritime Journalists Association of Nigeria (MAJAN) has appealed to Industry stakeholders and all Port users to accord maximum support to the successful hosting of the epoch event.
The Summit was earlier slated for March 25-26 but had to be rescheduled to April 14-15, 2021, due to unforeseen circumstances.
The Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Sanwo-Olu, is amongst eminent Nigerians expected to grace the occasion.
Also, expected are the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.
Industry experts billed to attend include the Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority; Hadiza Bala Usman, the Director General of Nigerian Maritime Administration & Safety Agency, Dr. Bashir Jamoh; Director General, Standards Organization of Nigeria, Mallam Farouk A. Salim, the Managing Director of LADOL, Dr. Amy Jadesimi, the Managing Director NIWA, Dr. George Moghalu and the President General, Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria, Adewale Adeyanju.
The Summit is expected to kick-off at 10 am prompt daily.
