It was excitement plethora for all that made efforts to attend the Mater Ecclesia Seminary Nguru Mbaise, Imo state 95 Set reunion which took place at the home villa of the cordinator Chief Benjamin Opara on the 13th of January, 2024.
Glory to God in the highest and all thanks to Mater Ecclesia Seminary environment that played a pivotal role in our upbringing and development. While we appreciate our teachers, formators and the educational content.
Above all, we must equally continue to appreciate the vital social aspects of the classroom setting, particularly our interactions and intimacies as classmates. That’s the major mucilage. The nicknames, the small small quarels, the jokes, sharing of dreams and aspirations, small study groups, series of brotherly assistance, watching out for one another, collaborating on assignments, learning new topics, and even making unique discoveries together etc. On these fronts lies the bond and we must not forget.
Classmates can influence a student’s academic trajectory just as much, if not more, than parents hence we still owe as ourselves much. After all, we spent significant portion of our lives then in school hence we share many commonalities.
Chief Benjamin, the class Cordinator and host on his opening prayers and remarks attributed our growth from 1990 as being propelled by God’s grace and prayed for God’s continued grace upon our lives and families.
He futher, encouraged all to show sincere Commitment to the class affairs. Let’s endeavour to equally freely pertake in every free will donation no matter how small as all hands are not equal but we are equal as a class and family. Two major quotes of the day from one of us go thus, ” Everybody is busy but no one is busy” “If we must succeed as a class, we must be selfish with class issues at all times”.
We were all encouraged to key into the ‘Memoir Diary’ that we all agreed as a class while our Cordinator and host pledged to foot financially the cost of printing when the final art-copy is approved by the class.
The epochal reunion created an opportunity to deliberate on several issues that will move the class forward as a family.
Interestingly most of the class mates that couldn’t show up made video calls. This enabled them to be part of the show via Camera.
Finally, we visited the mother of the host for a belated birthday wishes and felicitations. We sang, jyratted, and prayed in Mater Ecclesia ways. Above all we presented a token on behalf of the class
Present at the reunion were Cheif Benjamin the Cordinator and host, David, Jonathan, Boniface, Don, Alfred, Nicolas, Nnamdi, Valentine, Paschal, Ralph and Dr Ogechi. Above all, Nnamdi came with Madam and kids so as Alfred while Boniface came with Madam
After having much to eat and drink, the closing prayer was conducted by Val Etoh.
