…as they demand for roads
by Omenihu Alfred

The Ikenga development Union (IDU) has expressed its appreciation of the developmental strides of the Anambra State Governor Willie Obiano noting that his re-election and hence a second term is well deserved. The statement was made by former president of the Lagos chapter
of the union Nze Ikechukwu Anako

Anako who is a House of Assembly aspirant for Aguata II Constituency, Anambra State in the forthcoming coming 2019 election under APGA party had opined that the governor’s landslide victory at the November 18, 2017 governorship election in Anambra State was a proof and validation of the confidence and trust the people of Anambra State have in him. “We have no doubt in our minds that his second tenure will move the state to more enviable height,” he said.

In another development, the president Emeritus of Ikenga development Union (IDU) Lagos Branch Nze Ikechukwu Anako (Anajiugo) has reiterated the union’s cravings for dividends of democracy in their community, particularly the construction of access roads. “We seized the opportunity to remind his Excellency about IDU, Lagos Branch’s publication in the Daily Sun Newspaper of Wednesday, August 5, 2015, precisely on page 40 on their demand for access roads in their community.”
“These roads are, Igbo-Ukwu––Ikenga––Federal Prison Yard Ekwulobia––Uga taking its bearing from Nnewi to Ekwulobia Road from Igbo-Ukwu Market. Then Nnewi – Ekwulobia Road at Isuofia through Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s country home to Ikenga – Ezeinifite – Unubi linking Onitsha – Uga – Arondizuogu Road.”

The roads, if constructed, will add economic value to Anambra State, he observed.
Anako concluded with prayers for Gods guidance for the governor even as he reaffirmed Ikenga community’s loyalty and unflinching support to the Obiano administration.
