Plans are on top gear for the second Matriculation ceremony of NAGAFF Academy on Friday, May 21, 2021, at NAGAFF headquarters, Apapa, Lagos, by 12.00 noon. This noble institute was established by the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) to further promote excellence in the Maritime industry.
In another development, the President, Maritime Journalists Association of Nigeria (MAJAN), Comrade Ray Ugochukwu, will be the Guest Speaker on the topic:Freight forwarding as a career : Benefits to the Nation.
Ray Ugochukwu is a renowned writer and a seasoned Journalist. His wealth of experience and competence stand him out among other maritime Journalists in the industry. His position as the current MAJAN President has taken the association to an enviable height of recognition.
More so, the NAGAFF. Founder, FWDR (Dr) Boniface Aniebonam, known to be a reputable stakeholder in the maritime industry will be the Chief Host of this important occasion.
Obviously, NAGAFF is promoting sustainable freight forwarding professionalism in the maritime industry and Nigeria at large.
The prestigious National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) was formally established on the 30th November, 1999 in Lagos. This recognition of the importance of a professional freight forwarders’ Association in Nigeria was really a new world economic order of globalization and liberalization. Backed by a Statutory Law, the Association was duly and legally registered by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), under part c of decree of 1990 in November, 1999. NAGAFF is known and recognized in the Maritime sector in Nigeria also a member of FIATA.
As a matter of fact, NAGAFF was formally established to usher in a sustainable freight forwarding practice in the logistics supply chain and to enthrone professionalism in the industry. It was a total liberation mission that led to the pursuit for the establishment of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarders in Nigeria (CRFFN) by Dr Aniebonam and a few other great minds in the industry. Today the development of the sector is gradually moving towards its destination, with NAGAFF on the lead.
