Vaccines are designed to give you immunity without the dangers of getting the disease. It’s common to experience some mild to moderate side effects when receiving vaccinations. The moderate side effects, like a low-grade fever or muscle aches, are normal and not a cause for alarm. They are signs that the body’s immune system is responding to the vaccine, specifically the antigen, and is gearing up to fight the virus. It could increase blood flow so as to allow more immune cells circulate, and it raises your body temperature in order to kill the virus. These side effects usually go away on their own after a few days. The mild side effects could be a sign that the vaccine is working but that is not to say that experiencing no side effects doesn’t mean the vaccine is ineffective. It means that everybody responds differently.
Reported side effects of COVID-19 vaccines have mostly been mild to moderate and have lasted no longer than a few days. Typical side effects include pain at the injection site, fever, fatigue, headache, muscle pain, chills and diarrhoea. The chances of any of these side effects occurring after vaccination differ according to the specific vaccine.
A lot has been said about the mutation of SARS-CoV-2, being the virus that causes COVID-19 which is said to be replicating or making copies of itself. It sometimes changes a little bit, which is normal for a virus. A virus with one or more new mutations is referred to as a “variant” of the original virus. When a virus is widely infected on huge population, the likelihood of the virus mutating increases. The more opportunities a virus has to spread, the more it replicates – and the more opportunities it has to undergo changes. It has been on public domain that the strategies for stopping the spread include frequent hand washing, wearing a mask, physical distancing, good ventilation and avoiding crowded places or closed settings
The COVID-19 vaccines that are currently been approved are expected to provide at least some protection against new virus variants and if it proves to be less effective against one or more variants, it will be possible to change the composition of the vaccines to protect against these variants. I believe is the reason why WHO works with researchers, health officials and scientists to understand how these variants affect the virus’s behaviour, including their impact on the effectiveness of vaccines,
Be that as it may, the information that are currently going viral in the social media have created lots of uncertainty, suspicion and panic globally. I remember this very video recently going viral online titled mRNA Vaccine side effect”. According to the woman speaker “the whole chronology of where we are is based on lies. The coronavirus is lethal that there was no prevention and treatment, that it’s an emergency that requires social distancing and masks, which it doesn’t and that the solution was an mRNA vaccine that was safe and effective which it isn’t and that its and causing huge harm. And we know as well, that the more harm from these mRNA vaccines will happen in the years to come. So you know what I have been saying all along is anyone who is over 70m who takes one of these vaccines will probably sadly die within about 2 to 3 years. And anyone who gets the injection no matter what age you are must have drastically reduced his or her life expectancy. If you are in your thirties within five to ten years and you probably will have allergy, neuro-cognitive issues and inflammation and of course infertility is the major one” She concluded. For me, this is quite frightening and excruciating.
Furthermore, the Bishop and the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo’s recent reaction to the COVID-19 vaccination presently going on in Nigeria is another huge concern. Bishop Oyedepo made it clear that he will never take the COVID-19 jab because he isn’t a guinea pig. The man of God stated this during the Covenant Hour of Prayer programme, held in the church.
“I have never seen a generation where you force people to take vaccines. It is inhuman…I am not a lawyer, but I don’t think it’s legal. You can’t come to my house and want to give me an injection. Did I invite you?” He went on and made it know that there was never a COVID-19 outbreak in Nigeria, so how possible is it that people will contract it? He ended by making it known that the world is confused, but the church is lighted and the triumph of the church will humble the pride of the world.
Be it as it may, We are aware that WHO has established a SARS-CoV-2 Risk Monitoring and Evaluation Framework to identify, monitor and assess variants of concern. It will involve components like surveillance, research on variants of concern, and evaluation of the impact on diagnostics, therapeutics and vaccines. The framework will serve as a guide for manufacturers and countries on changes that may be needed for COVID-19 vaccines.
The story of a mother left in a wheelchair due to a severe reaction from covid-19 vaccine is still another story trending online. The victim who is by name developed severe rashes on her arms, legs and buttocks alongside an abscess on her face. Sarah has urged others to be aware of changes in their body after receiving the covid-19 vaccines.
More so, here are some important questions that has actually been given by the government before someone can get vaccinated. If I get vaccinated can I stop wearing a mask? The answer from the government is no. If I get vaccinated will the restaurants bars, schools, fitness club, hair saloon e.t.c reopen and will people be able to get back to work like normal? The answer is no. If I get vaccinated will I be resistant to covid-19? The government answers probably not. If I get vaccinated, at least I won’t be contagious to others right? The government says no, the vaccine doesn’t stop transmission. If I get vaccinated, how long will the vaccine last? The government answers no one knows covid-19 vaccine are still in experiment stage. If I get vaccinated can I stop social distancing? The government answered no. If my parents, grandparent and I all get vaccinated can we hug each other again? The government says no. Why then do we need to take the vaccine? The government answers hoping the virus won’t kill you. Are you sure the vaccine won’t injure or kill me? The government gives no guarantees If statistically the virus won’t kill me (99.97% survival rate) why should I get vaccinated? The government answers to protect others. So if I get vaccinated I can protect 100% of people I come in contact with? The government answers no. If I experience a severe adverse reaction, long term effect (still unknown) or die from the vaccine will I (or my family) be compensated from the vaccine manufacture or the government? The government answers absolutely no. The government and vaccine manufacturers have 100% zero liability regarding this experimental drug. In Summary, it all means that the covid-19 vaccine does not provide immunity, does not eliminate the virus, does not prevent death, does not guarantee you won’t get it, does not stop you from passing it on to others, does not eliminate mask-wearing & social distancing, does not eliminate the meet for travel bans, does not eliminate the need for business closures, does not eliminate the need for lockdowns and If you take the vaccine and are harmed by it, neither the companies nor the government will compensate you or your family.
We are equally aware that, Scaling up vaccine manufacturing and rolling out vaccines as quickly and widely as possible will also be critical ways of protecting people before they are exposed to the virus and the risk of new variants. Priority should be given to vaccinating high-risk groups everywhere to maximize global protection against new variants and minimize the risk of transmission. Moreover, ensuring equitable access to Covid-19 vaccinesis more critical than ever to address the evolving pandemic.
As more people get vaccinated, we expect virus circulation to decrease, which will then lead to fewer mutations not drastic reduction of life expectancy. Just like I keep saying, the last have not been heard of these controversial and mystical virus.
